The Story
Jus' Ribs n More started 11 years ago when the owner, Brigitte Wooten began providing award winning ribs at area lakeshore festivals including both Tulip Time in Holland and the Coast Guard Festival in Grand Haven. With a food vendor trailer and a smoker in tow, Brigitte's menu was simple -- ribs -- so the name "Jus' Ribs" was the simplest and most effective way to draw customers to her mouthwatering creations.
What began as a part-time and seasonal hobby gradually drew loyal customers and fans looking for the "barbeque lady". As time progressed, dreams of one day having a restaurant that served a variety of southern flavors with genuine hospitality moved closer and closer to becoming reality. In 1010, when economic conditions continued to change may lives in West Michigan, it seemed like the perfect time to take what life was bringing and make some lemonade!
In December 2011, Jus' Ribs n More opened to the public with an expanded menu, thus the "n More". Sticking to what makes good food great, Brigitte and her staff pride themselves in welcoming new faces as friends and providing delicious meals that are made fresh and in house.
Other barbeque places may try to speed up the cooking process by baking or broiling their meats and smoking them just to finish them off. Brigitte only uses the smoker to cook the barbequed meats. Low heat and slow cooking time seals in moisture and flavor. The smoke ring tells it all!
Using the signature seasoning, sauces, and recipes that have been passed down through Brigitte's family for generations, our flavors may not always be exactly the same each time you visit, but we can guarantee it will be the best meal of your day!
